Adds wholesome goodness to the celebrations by contributing towards mid-day meal
Mumbai, August 2017: In line with the festive spirit of spreading cheer during the biggest festival in Maharashtra, Ganesh Chaturthi, Aashirvaad, the market leader in the branded packaged atta segment in India will provide devotees an opportunity to fulfill the nutritional need of disadvantaged children. The brand which is known for delighting Indian households with its Superior MP Atta, will add wholesome goodness to the life of underprivileged children with their ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ campaign.
Aashirvaad, with the support from devotees across various pandals will donate over 1 tonne atta towards mid-day meals for children at Akshaya Patra Foundation, Thane. Individuals can contribute to the cause by exchanging 1 kg of their wheat grains for 1 kg pack of Aashirvaad Superior MP Atta for free. The wheat grains collected from devotees will then be donated to Akshaya Patra Foundation.
Every contributor will receive a single grain micro Ganesha idol from Aashirvaad as a token of gratitude for their generous contribution. In addition, devotees across societies and at Lalbagh can also contribute through a fun activity by creating virtual roti’s on a tablet. Taking the celebrations to the digital platform, consumers can send pictures of the Ganesha idols at their homes on Aashirvaad’s official Facebook page. The most unique entries will stand a chance to win a gold plated single grain micro Ganesha idol.
The campaign will also be active at Lalbagh until 4th September from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Facebook entries for Ganesha pictures can be sent in until 2nd September’17.
