behaviours required to build a successful career.
Speaking about the event, Bruce Stewart, Principal,
Deloitte LLP said, “Through the Maverick program we are innovating to
expose management students to the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow’s
business world, today. The program exposes students to a corporate environment,
and challenges them to think unconventional solutions that are sustainable,
learn from Deloitte’s business leaders, and display an innovation mindset and
competencies that differentiate a leader.”
According to SV Nathan, Director – Talent,
Deloitte Consulting India Private Limited, “Today, the ‘asks’ an
organization makes of its employees have clearly changed. Instead of simply
executing tasks, employees are expected to engage in complex problem-solving –
to generate transformative ideas through innovation and knowledge sharing.
Students need to have more intensive focus on ‘higher order’ application and
synthesizing skills such as critical thinking, creativity and innovation and
bringing these together, which gives firms the competitive advantage
critical to their success. And this is the skill that The Maverick programme
encourages students build.”
Conducted in a multi-stage elimination
format, the program saw a shortlist of 60 teams from across India participate
