South Africa Trade delegation visits India to strengthen trade relations between sectors of mutual growth
Mumbai, Tuesday 24 September 2013 – Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), consulate of South Africa, organized a conference today between delegates of South African and Indian business houses. This was with a view to consolidate the existing trade relations between India and South Africa and for exploring newer business opportunities at Mumbai.
DTI Believes that there is a substantial untapped potential for growth between the two countries through services and human relations in sectors like Chemical and Pharmaceuticals, Computer software, Engineering goods, Agro Processing, Mining etc. With the western markets slowing, the bi lateral trade opportunity has become even more pronounced.
The primary objective of this conference was to present an update on the opportunities for growth in the South African market, and the advantages that the country offers to companies as the base for trade and operations.
Delegates from businesses like WESGRO, Mile Investments 333 (Pty) Ltd, and Willow Creek, South African Subtropical Growers’ Association / Macadamia & Mango market development, Timeless Tomatoes, Tshilande Irrigation Farm (Pty) Ltd from various provinces of South Africa like Western Cape, Limpopo and Pretoria were present seeking business and trade opportunities from Indian counterparts.
