Aptech announces Q1 FY 2013-14 results, PAT jumps by 25% over previous quarter

Mumbai, August 6, 2013 - Aptech Ltd., the global career education and training company, has announced its first quarter operating results for FY 2013-14.

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS

Quarterly Results

·         Operating revenue for the quarter is Rs. 42.48 crore, a 9.8% growth on a Y-o-Y basis

·         Operating EBITDA for Q1 FY2013-14 is up by 45.2% against Q1 FY2012-13

·         Profit Before Tax (after exceptional items) has grown by 32.7% on a Y-o-Y basis

·         PAT has jumped by 25.0% over Q1 FY2012-13

·         21 new centers opened in this quarter (17 domestic and 4 international)

·         Entry into Gambia with an Aptech Computer Education center

·         Successfully conducted CMAT (3^rd round for the year) and GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) exams in Q1 FY14

Commenting on the results, Mr. Ninad Karpe, Managing Director & CEO, Aptech Limited said, “With a strong operating performance, underlined by second successive quarter of revenue growth and fourth successive quarter of Operating EBITDA growth, we are further strengthening our position as a global education & training services leader. Having established over 1300 centres in 40+ countries, we continue to focus on our international expansion with the non-IT brands now playing a major role. In Q1 FY2013-14, we signed the first Aptech Aviation centre in Ghana and the first MAAC centre in Nigeria. In the last twelve months, 12 out of a total 19 new international centres were of non-IT brands”.
