*Nickelodeon celebrates kids with its new anthem as it welcomes 2023*

The anthem plays into the zing and energy of young minds and reflects what the brand stands for – Nick for Kids, Kids For Nick 

National: Do you recall running back home from school just to catch your favorite television characters right from the opening of their title track? What if we those days are not over yet? Yes, you heard that right! In a unique initiative to engage with kids, Nickelodeon – India’s leading kids’ entertainment channel – has launched a cheerful and energetic anthem playing into the zing and energy of young kids. 

The lyrics for the anthem have been penned by the legendary Gulzaar Saab and is sung by India’s young musical heartthrob, Armaan Malik. The anthem shows children’s favorite Nicktoons including Motu Patlu, Pinaki & Happy, Rudra, Shiva, Chikoo & Bunty, and more. Engaging young viewers with entertaining stories and lovable characters, the anthem intends to let every child know that their voice matters and reflects how Nickelodeon stands by their promise, “Nick for Kids, Kids for Nick”. 

Talking about his experience as the lyricist for the anthem, Gulzar Saab commented, “I have always enjoyed writing for Nickelodeon, because I am still a kid at heart. This anthem is an ode to the young minds to celebrate their zest and the unshakeable bond with their Nicktoons.”

Singer Armaan Malik further added, “Being a part of the creation of 'Do The Nick Nick' is a nostalgia trip for me, as Nickelodeon was a huge part of my childhood. The anthem, written by the legendary Gulzaar Saab, captures the spirit of youth and encourages them to wear their hearts on their sleeves. It's an honour to be a part of something that brings back so many fond memories for me, and I hope that this anthem will create some unforgettable memories for others as well."

To engage with audiences at large, Nickelodeon has also launched an exciting Hook Step Reels Challenge. All you must do is upload their videos on the anthem and use #DoTheNickNick to get featured on TV!
