With a rich history and even richer taste, what’s not to love about blueberries? The newest berry in town will soon be the USA blueberry, a fruit regarded globally.

About-  Blueberries are native to North America and have been cherished by native inhabitants or what we call Indians or First Nationsas food and medicine. A lady farmer named Elizabeth White in New Jersey teamed with a USDA scientist Frederic Coville to discover how to cultivate blueberries. By 1916, Elizabeth farmed sweet and plump fresh blueberries and began shipping to the New York Market! Blueberry production spread nationwide, and mechanical harvesting and freezing techniques were developed to give year round supply. – In the 1990s health research was conducted that indicated that a half cup of blueberries could reduce the problems of aging and many other benefits. The Market grew ten-fold in just ten years! – The USHBC was founded to keep the market momentum going. Uses of blueberries grew from pies to hundreds of uses. Children became the focus of our efforts in schools to ensure a new generation of blueberry lovers. In the 2012 more than 1500 new blueberry containing products were developed in the USA – We began spreading the word globally!
