The June 2016 issue of ‘SAVVY’ marked the magazine’s 32nd Anniversary and to commemorate this momentous occasion the cover featured none other than the inspiring First Lady of Maharashtra, Ms. Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

In her inspiring cover story (‘I Believe’), Amruta shares significant insights into her life, her career at Axis Bank- her political involvement, her cool ‘n’ cosy bond with her husband, her pride at his integrity, her passion to get fit, mirroring her live-life-freely-and –joyously spirit!
Amruta studied at St. Joseph’s convent school in Nagpur, her college at Hislop & GS College and then her MBA & Taxation laws from Symbiosis in Pune. She also proudly shares about her husband on how the people in Mumbai knew him because of his performance in the legislature, as a known anti-corruption crusader, on his aim to make and retain Maharashtra as the No. 1 state in the country, and his mission that every farmer should get natural irrigation and till every farmer is happy, he won’t take a break.
Amruta Fadnavis also shared her passion for classical singing, her devotional track ‘ Sab Dhan Maati’ for ‘Jai Gangajal’ film. On special request of the media present there, she also sang the Bhajan ‘Achyutam Keshavam Krishna Damodaram Ram Narayanam Janaki Vallabham’.
She spoke about on how women should take charge of her own life with good education, being able to care financially and getting empowered and recognised for her talents. An empowered woman can also really help her man evolve, is mentally on par with men, and contribute to the GDP of the country by working and be the change you want to see.
According to the Editor, Ms. Andrea Costabir in her edit stated that she found Ms. Amruta Fadnavis as an Independent, Intelligent with a bold and mature thought process, a committed banker, devoted wife ‘n’ mommy, also crusading for child ‘n’ women empowerment, whilst being hands on and warmth too!
