In the upcoming episode of the show ‘Ganga, The Soul of India’, actress Dia Mirza will visit a temple dedicated to Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. The temple, located in Kolkata, West Bengal was constructed by die-hard fans of the actor. Dia interacted with the fans, who shared their admiration for the superstar.
The ardent admirers of Mr. Bachchan celebrate ‘World Fan’s Day’ to mark the date when the actor recovered from his accident after ‘Coolie’. They have also penned down a chalisa that they chant at the temple.
They call themselves ‘devotees’ of the actor and are deeply inspired by Mr. Bachchan, who is passionate about several social causes. Like their idol, these fans help the underprivileged by sponsoring the education of young children and distributing basic necessities to them.
Dia was extremely impressed by their dedication towards favourite actor and was mesmerized by how Mr. Bachchan had positively impacted their lives. Dia mentioned that she would be overjoyed if her fans would contribute to the community in a similar way, before she continued her journey to Gangasagar, where the Ganga meets the Bay of Bengal.
Ganga, The Soul of India airs every Sunday at 12 noon on Living Foodz.
