Vadodara, the 20th Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders of Bank of Baroda was held on Friday, 24th June, 2016 at 12 Noon at Sayajirao Nagargriha, Akota, Vadodara.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Ravi Venkatesan, Non-Executive Chairman of the Bank.
Shri P S Jayakumar, MD & CEO, Shri B.B Joshi and Shri Mayank K Mehta, Executive Directors of the Bank, Shri Prem Kumar Makkar, Non-Workmen Director, Shri Biju Varkkey, Non-Official Director and Dr. R Narayanaswamy, Shri Bharatkumar D Dangar, and Ms. Usha Narayanan, Directors representing Shareholders of the Bank, were present. The Government of India, the major Shareholder of the Bank was represented by Shri Prabhu Dayal, Under Secretary, (Pension Reforms), Department of Financial Services, MOF, Government of India.
The Shareholders of the Bank discussed, approved and adopted the Balance Sheet of the Bank as on 31st March, 2016, Profit and Loss Account for the year ended 31st March, 2016, the report of the Board of Directors on the working and activities of the Bank for the period covered by the accounts and the Auditor’s report on the Balance sheet and Accounts and approved the relevant resolution with requisite majority.
Shri P S Jayakumar responded to the observations made by the Shareholders on various aspects of functioning of Bank including profitability, Non-Performing Assets, restructured accounts, use of ATM etc. as an alternative banking channel to improve the customer service, employees’ education/ training etc., as also the future plans of the Bank on business and profits
At the end, chairman thanked all the participants/stack holders and the share holders present for their active participation.
