Mumbai, 12.03.2016 – With a view to creating a new generation of efficient, expert and all-rounder business leaders, India Europe International Business School (IEIBS) was inaugurated today at Mulund in Mumbai, through a remarkable opening ceremony. IEIBS is a modern age B-school with its best-in-class hostel facility. It patterns itself on the lines of CEIBS, which is a pure benchmark to offer innovative career solutions through various management programs. It expanded its operations in Mumbai through a strategic alliance with NIMS (Nalanda International Management School) to offer programs analogous with BBA / Integrated MBA.
Every year 1,60,000 graduates pass out of Mumbai colleges, however, they hardly get the right placement and pay. Employers complain of lack of workplace-skill among today’s students… Statistically, it has been seen that only around 3% of the graduates have the required level of confidence and the employability skill. Rest of the pass-outs suffer from Low Confidence Syndrome attributed to their poor communication skills and thereby leading to a lower self-esteem. So, there is a big gap that needs to be bridged. IEIBS has taken up this noble task to fill the students with confidence, capability, skill, mental preparedness, stress bearing capacity and so on…
Dr Sanjay Deshmukh, Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University; with several other dignitaries; was present during the inauguration ceremony of IEIBS. In his inaugural speech, Dr Deshmukh said, “As it is not possible for the government to reach all, public private partnership in the field of education is very essential to reach a wider section of aspiring students. Thus, this is a great initiative taken by IEIBS.”
The inauguration event began with a traditional lighting the lamp ceremony, where Chaitanya Parekh, Chairman & Managing Director of SOHAM REAL ESTATE and Dr A D Sawant, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mumbai took the leading part.
Addressing the audience in the event, Dr Sawant said, “I strongly feel that young minds are the best to be moulded as their learning capacity is higher. Such programs should have been in the country 40 years ago. IEIBS programs will truly help the students. Those will not only make them capable but also will help the country have skilled manpower.”
Four renowned educationists Sachin Karnavat, Nilesh Sarawate, Abhijeet Unhale and Jashwant Panchal came forward with a mission to build a management institute of difference that would not just create employees but make employers, Mr. Parekh became instrumental in making the dream a reality. Thus, came up IEIBS to offer practice-oriented management courses to students after 12th std., as well as after graduation.
Mr. Parekh said, “I felt it was necessary to do something for the society, and the best I could do was to build education centres where young minds will benefit.”
