Arena Perspectives 2015- Enthusiasts receive Fresh ‘Perspective’ into the Animation Industry



Animation students have an interactive session with industry stalwarts to gain valuable insight

Pune, July 18, 2015: Arena Animation, the leading animation institution in India organized Perspectives 2015- an opportunity for over 400 animation lovers to interact with leading influencers in the animation and VFX industry, at the Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan, Pune in the presence of Mr. Venkat-Sales Head-South & West, Mr.Vishal Vora- Zonal Sales Head-West, Mr.Vijendra Shukla-Area Sales Head Pune .

Mr.Vaibhav More-Founder and Director, Vaibhav More Films, Mumbai said that the industry has grown three times over however, the media and entertainment industry require talented professionals  such as 3D-animators, 3D artists, Motion Graphics Artists, Lighting & Rendering Artist, Flash animators, digital sculpting, Web designers, creative advertisers, Illustrators, Visualiser, Storyboard artist, 3D modeler to name a few.

Mr.Prashant Shahane-CG Head, Trace Vfx, Mumbai imparted a more technical based lecture on VFx fundamentals and lighting based on his own experience. Mr. Shahane also remarked that this profession needs not only hard work, but smart work as well. His guidance gave the attendees first hand advice on the media and entertainment industry and what a career in animation would entail.

At the event, Mr. Easo Thampy Matthew, Business Head for Arena Animation, said that, “We at Arena are always aiming at bridging the gap between animation/VFX aspirants and the industry. ‘Perspectives’ is the perfect platform for enthusiasts to meet professionals and get access to their insights and experiences. According to a finding in FICCI KPMG 2014, the animation, VFx and post- production industry in India is valued at Rs 44.9 Billion from Rs 39.7 Billion a year ago.  This can be attributed to the fact that animation can now be found in every aspect of our lives from television, banking, entertainment, online shopping, web site designs etc. Animation is a versatile and sought after skill to possess as the scope of careers is possible in virtually every sector from advertising, architecture, aviation, hospitality, travel & tourism, engineering, hospitals, media and entertainment etc.
