SARL understand the consumption and growth pattern of edible oil sector   . The consumption of Edible oil in the country was at 18.1 Mn Tonnes for the FY 14 and is expected to increase to 23 Mn Tonnes by 2019-20 growing at 4% per annum.  The sunflower oil has tremendous growth potential and health attributes which needs to be captured. The sunflower oil contributes 11% of the total edible oil consumption in the country and is steadily growing at a rate of 10% per annum. 70% of sunflower oil is consumed in the southern states followed by west and east. 67% consumption of Sunflower oil is in the urban areas and the rest is consumed in the rural areas clearly indicating a switch towards the health benefits of the oil. The current sunflower oil market in India is over Rs 180 Bn.The company plans to introduce the product in Pune, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Nasik, Sholapur, Akola and Nagpur  in a span of next 24 months to address the growing demand of sunflower oil and capture the potential .
