ABSOLUT ELYX and Anushka Rajan present “In an Artist’s Mind V” by Gallerie Angel Arts

 ABSOLUT ELYX, the luxury vodka from iconic ABSOLUT brand, partnered with Reshma Jani and Shwetaambari Soni of Gallerie Angel Arts and along with Anushka Rajan, renowned Image Consultant to present “In an Artist’s Mind V”, a compilation of artworks by experienced and fresh young artists from the country at China House Lounge at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, yesterday evening.

 The preview of 5th edition of the curated series, “In an Artist’s Mind V” was co-hosted by ABSOLUT ELYX and Anushka Rajan and Designer Tanya Sharma. Anushka Rajan has a long-standing association with the world of fashion and art is an avid art enthusiast.The idea behind this collaboration was to marry art with design and this led them to rope in Designer Tanya Sharma to add an element of drama to the preview.

 Guests were seen admiring the artworks which were curated by hosts Reshma Jani and Shwetaambari Soni. Co-host Anushka Rajan ensured that all their guests were having a good time. Seen appreciating the art work and the models in Tanya Sharma’s creations were Sridevi and Jhanvi,  Armaan Jain,  Sanjay Gupta, Kunal Kapoor, Bijal Meswani, Nachiket Barve, Aly Morani, SHilpa Rao, Luv Singha, Azmina Rahimtoola, Ringzing D, Ambika Hinduja, Krishka Lulla, Nitin Virani amongs others.

 This year, the show presented reputed works by Suneel Mammadapur, Uma S Pathak, Umakant Kanade, Bhisham Chawla, Bhumika Takshak, Chandini Vora, Pratul Dash, Riyas Komu, Sheetal Deewan, Nitish Bhattachrjee, Raghava KK, and Suneel Mammadapur.

 Reshma Jani of Gallerie Angel Arts says, “This show was a natural progression from our last show, which was Art&Music Unplugged. Both Art and Fashion are creative, inspirational and to do with aesthetics.  We wanted then to merge and create an experience of harmony between the two, so the show was conceptualised.”

 Anushka Rajan says "For me, Art and Fashion do at some level go hand in hand, I see art as the creation and fashion the expression. Merging these two passions of mine was something that got me really excited for this collaboration! Usually art showings don't really attract the youth of today. That's why we thought of adding the element of pop fashion with some vibrant canvases and edgy young sculptures. I chose artwork which I feel would interest the GenNext's of today! Being an art enthusiast from a very young age, promoting these phenomenal upcoming artists give me immense joy."

 Anushka Rajan Profile

 Anushka Rajan, daughter of Abhijit Rajan CMD of one of India's biggest civil engineering companies Gammon India, has had an educational career that is dotted with transnational exposure that ranges from her pursuit of the International Baccalaureate Diploma at Ecole Mondiale World School to her achievement of a BSc. In Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Babson College, Boston. Her long-standing association with the world of media, fashion, and entertainment first saw a channeled platform of expression during her stint as Brand and Innovation Manager at a leading media-marketing firm. During this time, she worked closely on a number of marketing and promotional activities for Bollywood movies.

 Her previous position as stylist with L’Officiel served as the perfect segue for her to appropriately hone her skills and chase her overarching dream and glitzy-eyed passion for the world of glamour. Leaning more towards the fashion side of her passion spectrum, she then went on to lend her expertise to some freelance styling projects.  Finally, actively advocating a culmination of her business aptitude and flare for style and fashion, Rajan is now a certified Image Consultant. On the brink of starting her own venture in Image Management, she is excited to appropriately showcase the mélange of both her passions. Through this endeavor, she will strive to provide soft skill training associated with styling, grooming, etiquette, body language, and communication to exemplify personality development and self-growth. By working closely with the candidates, Rajan is hoping to use her international exposure, corporate expertise, and experiential learning to ensure that they acquire the confidence and skills to present the best version of themselves to the global marketplace and manage to appropriately master the nuances of personal, professional and social interactivity.

 ‘GaGa’ by TANYA SHARMA is a fashion label which was launched in summer of 2008 ready to wear chic and sporty lines which appeals to women of 16- 45 with a distinct and effortless sense of style. the AW collection is a tribute to the Indian traditional printing techniques like bandhni, leheria ,tie and dye and block printing done on modern fabrics like jersey combined with silk and satin with highlights of zardosi embroidery. The silhouettes are sporty with a hint of glam.
