club for fashion industry professionals - launched
Panel discussion on fashion hosted in association with The White
Owl
Mumbai, May 29, 2014: India’s first networking and knowledge sharing platform for
people professionally linked with the fashion industry –Fashionably
Connected - was launched with
an engaging panel discussion on “The
impact of global fashion trends on the Indian fashion scenario” hosted in
association with The White Owl (Lower Parel). Fashionably
Connected, is a networking platform created to connect professionals in the
fashion community through panel discussions, speakers etc
Panelists
participating in an engaging and insightful discussion included fashion designer Nachiket Barve, Aparna Badlani of Atosa and Mehernaz Dhondy of
Grazia. The event was graced by a select group comprising movers and
shakers of the fashion industry, brand custodians of corporate such as Raymond
& Hermes, eminent fashion designers and fashionistas such as Designers Mayank
and Shraddha, Vito Dell'erba (Design Head - Raymond), Amith Dholakia (Amara),
Radha Kapoor (Parsons), Jasmine Sarupria (SNDT), models and fashion media
amongst others.
Providing
idyllic settings for Fashionably Connected Club was The White Owl
warehouse-like brewery & bistro located in One Indiabulls Center in Lower
Parel, The White Owl represents a unique creative concept. Right from the menu
to the interior design, everything was beautifully crafted to suit the tastes
of young and young-at-heart professionals, a bright-eyed entrepreneurs and
anyone with a free spirit.
Radhika Dhawan, Founder, Fashionably Connected, says “The mission of the Fashionably Connected Network is to
provide exposure for local fashion communities so they can support each other
and connect with fashion-minded consumers. The aim of the monthly get-together
is to create a networking platform for people in the fashion industry so as to
connect people in the fashion industry with each other for professional and
personal development. We hope to create exposure for fashion professionals in
their local community and to fashion-conscious consumers world-wide.”
Excitement about exploring the nuances of fashion continued
among the attendees much after the panel discussion was completed as they
connected over the delectable
food from The White Owl’s
beautifully crafted menu and signature cocktails.
Ideas exchange
took place in a space, which was an amalgamation of industrial elements with
basic rudiments like antique smoked-mirror table tops and metal chairs combined
with patent leather upholstery, creating a grunge yet chic atmosphere.
