First of its kind event for black & yellow cab drivers by Bookmycab.com named “Hum SaathSaathHain......”

Mumbai. 22^nd April, 2014: Mumbai’s only government approved radio taxi service, Bookmycab.com which operates Black and Yellow Taxis and Air conditioned cool cabs (blue silver) under licence from State Transport Authority held its first Taxi Drivers Meet in Mumbai recently. The event was to celebrate one year of the successful launch of Bookmycab.com’s call taxi scheme as well as to recognise and honour its best drivers and also close the popular and successful “Hum SaathSaathHain” scheme which was run for the drivers. Bookmycab.com is known for being most economical radio taxi service in Mumbai and has worked very hard to become one of the most efficient cab services in Mumbai. The company has more than 3,000 taxis registered in the city that covers the entire Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The event commenced with award of Accident Insurance Certificates to the drivers. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the company awarded free Accident Insurance to all its loyal drivers who had been associated with the company for the last 6 months and more.

This was followed by the Prize distribution for the hughly successful “Hum SaathSaathHain” scheme for the cab drivers. All participants emerged as winners as they won assured cash awards, while a few lucky ones also took home bumper prizes like LCD TVs, Refrigerators, Mobile Phones and Tablets.

The latter half of the event was reserved for felicitating those taxi drivers who had earned praise from the customers for their ontime performance, good behaviour as well as for having returned lost valuables of the customers. These drivers were gifted limited edition watches and silver coins by the CEO of Bookmycab.com, Mr Avinash Gupta.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Avinash Gupta appreciated the contribution of the cab drivers and recognised that the cab drivers had a major role in the growing success of the company over the last one year. He urged the drivers to keep on improving their service standards so that Bookmycab.com could become the biggest and the most appreciated cab service in Mumbai.

Continuing in its efforts to benefit the cab drivers the company also announces its tie-up with Ideal Insurance. Ideal Insurance has agreed to offer substantial discounts on renewal premiums of taxi insurance to all cabs associated with Bookmycab.com, a benefit which has far reaching implications on the finances of cab drivers.

Mr Gupta also announce that the company was in talks with Tyre and Battery manufacturers so that the taxi drivers could save substantially on the maintenance of their cabs.

Taxi drivers present on the occasion praised the efforts of the company in helping them improve their standards of living by providing a stable means of livelihood.
