New Delhi / Bangalore, INDIA - January 21, 2014
Raritan,a
leading provider of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and
rack power distribution solutions, today announced that Raritan's
intelligent energy management solution help enterprises to reduce data
center energy consumption by allowing organizations to safely increase
ambient temperatures at the Data Center. It has been found that a Data
Center Manager can save up to 3% of energy costs for every degree of
upward change in the baseline temperature. Additionally, Agent -less
graceful shut downs and
start ups of servers connected to any rack power distribution units
(PDUs) enables energy saving by scheduling automatic power cycling of an
"IT device group" when not needed. For example, a Lab manager could
save about 25 percent on energy consumption by turning off systems at 7 pm on Friday and turning them on at 5 am on Monday. Automatic tracking and a large screen energy dashboard helps to manage energy usage and pinpoint savings opportunities.
Raritan's
energy management solution offers valuable insight to help
organizations to find savings in the data center. It also designed in a
way to help IT and facilities managers with the following benefits-
- Reduce capital expenditures and save on operating expenses
- Generate energy cost reports for customers
- Create a baseline and certify changes in energy and carbon footprint
- Easily identify active power, energy, cost and environmental trends
- Measure PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) and drive green data center initiatives
managers better understand environmental conditions at the rack in
order to use power and cooling resources optimally without compromising
performance. This makes it still easier for a data center operator to
understand and better manage the following:
- Save on operating expenses and delay capital expenditures
- Achieve agentless, graceful shutdown of Windows®, Linux® and UNIX® device groups
- Generate energy cost reports for customers and clients
- Create a baseline and certify changes in energy and carbon footprint
- Easily identify active power, energy and cost trends
- Measure PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) and drive green initiatives
McAfee, AECOM, National Guard, AOL etc. are few clients to name who have been using Power IQ® energy management solution.
Mr Sanjay Motwani, Sales Director - India & SEA said, "Raritans'
Power IQ's advanced energy management software, is the perfect solution
for organizations grappling with spiraling energy costs and working
towards Green Data Centers". Our Vendor- agnostic, agent- less solutions
provides
the information and control to be more energy efficient and find
