Mumbai: Bajaj Electricals Ltd, a market leader in small
appliances and ranking amongst top 3 in fans and lighting, celebrates its 75th year in 2013-14.In the spirit of
the 75th year celebrations it was the perfect opportunity for the
company to interact with the dealers at each branch, putting forth plans for
the coming years while strengthening and building on existing relationships.

turned 75 last July. Each branch has contributed in a big way to this heritage
and Mumbai, where the company’s HO is also located, is no exception. It is a

Stadium. In our consumer facing business we believe in offering this same

firsts this year in categories like Mixer Grinders with the launch of new
models, Morphy Richards with its water heaters and Lighting with its iLED range.
Also the city saw its 2nd Bajaj World open in one of the most
prominent market locations in Ulhasnagar. We are confident that together with
our trade partners we will keep bettering our successes to get Bajaj
Electricals Ltd. to reach even greater heights.”
And the branch certainly does have its share of achievements
to be proud of. Registering sales of Rs. 167 Cr till December 2013 with a CAGR
of 7%. In addition the branch was at the forefront of many new product
introductions in Morphy Richards, Lighting, Appliances and Fans, which reached
a crescendo with Fans Day, organized as an initiative for management to
interact with dealers in the market place.
Some of the
recent projects undertaken by the company include installation of NAVI
Mumbai Municipal corporation 67 meter Flag mast, 1200 poles for Thane
Municipal Corporation and 7 Antenna mast for D’Mello Tele power, Goa. Other large orders include illumination for
KDMC and GIDC Goa for Disano fittings and lighting for L&T (CHP Bara), NTPC
Vindhyachal and Rehand, Thane Municipal Corporation, Reliance Industries Ltd
and BHEL & PGCIL.
Bajaj World is
the company’s initiative to provide a collective experience zone to the
customers giving them a platform to choose from a wide range of products for
their homes under one roof. The company has so far opened over 65 Bajaj Worlds
across India and expects to open a total of 75 by this financial year. Mumbai
branch has so far opened 2 Bajaj Worlds in Dadar and Ulhasnagar.
And imbibing the organizational culture
of ensuring the welfare of the society at large, the branch organized a blood
donation drive and continues in its fight against tobacco as part of its
national CSR initiative.

Bajaj Electricals has 19 branch offices
spread in different parts of the country besides being supported by a chain of
about 2200 distributors, 4100 authorized dealers, over 400000 retail outlets
for Lighting, 40000 retail outlets for Appliances, 50000 retail outlets for
Fans and over 340 customer Care centers.
