Arjummal Mughal, from Ad World to Film World

After ruling the ad world by as the model successful commercial babe, scintillating beauty Arjumman Mughal is all set to enter Bollywood with a hard hitting film Ya Rab. But it’s only a gradual and natural move considers the model turned actress who has more than 2000 ads to her credit including the likes of ICICI, Vodafone, Hindustan Unilever, Nokia and Videocon among many others, “I have enjoyed featuring in TV and Print commercials but I always wanted to get into films. I am honoured to be a part an intense and thought provoking film such as Ya Rab. I couldn’t have gotten a better start to my Bollywood career.”

Not many know that Ya Rab, directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala (Who made Vishesh Films’ Emraan Hashmi starrer The Killer, has Mahesh Bhatt supporting it throughout. The film produced under the banner of True Film by Hoori Ali and Mohsin Ali Khan deals with Islam and terrorism. “It is a film which passes the message that all Muslims are not terrorists and I am glad to be a part of such a film. It’s interesting how I got roped in too. It was all thanks to the writer of the film that I got called in for the audition. They wanted a girl who could speak Urdu and Arbi as my role requires me to cite verses from Quran too. I have studied Urdu till 9th hence it was like a perfect match,” says Arjumman.

She further adds, “We are all so thankful to Mr. Mahesh Bhatt for the support he has lent to our film. It was him who inspired the makers to make this film and the film has turned out so brilliant. I just can’t wait for the film to release and people to witness it.”
