MAAC Announces ‘Carnival of Creativity’
First of a kind event in India to celebrate creativity, starts on November 21, 2013

Mumbai, November 21, 2013: Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) - One of the leading 3D Animation & VFX institutes announces ‘Carnival of Creativity’ event for 2013 - 14,
for animation aspirants across India. For animation aspirants, the
event incorporates series of activities with lots of fun, excitement,
prizes and scholarships to be won. Scholarships will be awarded to
eligible students on long term career courses in Animation, Multimedia,
Gaming and VFX. The Scholarship-Carnival of Creativity commences on
November 21, 2013.
The
event is a great platform for animation/ VFX enthusiasts to showcase
their talent and gives them an opportunity to be trained professionally
with India’s finest animation institute. It is estimated that more than
ten thousand animation aspirants, from across India, will participate in
this carnival and hundreds of creatively inclined aspirants would be
awarded scholarships.
The details of different activities as a part of the ‘MAAC Carnival of Creativity’ are appended:
· CQ Check - November 21, 2013:
An online application-cum-test, which will indicate a student’s
‘Creative Quotient’. Students with high score in this test will be
eligible for a ‘Scholarship’ test at the MAAC center. It will be
supported by an online questionnaire (animation, films, and basic
creativity) and information about a student.
· Expert Speak - November 21, 2013 & December 13, 2013:
A web cast will be conducted where industry experts – Mr. Ram Mohan
(Father of Indian Animation), Mr. Pete Draper, VFX Supervisor of Award
winning film Eega (Makkhi) and Mr. Madhusudhan, VFX Supervisor for the
film Vishwaroopam will address the students on growth of animation &
VFX industry.
· Unreel - November 30, 2013: An Animation & VFX Film Fest where animation & VFX movies along with the making of the movies will be showcased.
· Bring it to Life – December 2, 2013 to December 12, 2013:
A creative contest where the participants will be required to create
something out of an inanimate object and make it look Live by using
props, painting, folding, etc. All entries need to be submitted at any
nearby MAAC centre.

creativity and reward the participants for their talent. It will help
aspirants display their artistic skills and make a career decision.”
