11^th edition of National Students Meet 2013 by MAAC concludes successfully

Mumbai, October 8, 2013:  Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) – One of the leaders in 3D Animation and Visual Effects (VFX) training successfully concluded the 11^th edition of National Student’s Meet (NSM) 2013, an initiative to congregate the students across its centres in the country. The event was held from October 3 to October 5, 2013 at Hotel Gold Palace in Jaipur.

Over 300 animation students, faculty, staff and team of MAAC attended the country’s biggest animation meet. NSM 2013 saw interactive sessions on ‘Role of sound in films’, ‘Cracking the code for commercials’ and ‘The Visual Beauty of Direction, Sound, Light, Render (DSLR)’ by imminent personalities such as Ms. Elizaa Lewis, Director & Proprietor, Mainframe Software Communications and Mr. Ganesh Diwekar, an Actor, Sound Nation, Mr. Suresh Eriyat, a renowned ad filmmaker at Eeksaurus studios and Mr. Amit Rane, Dr. Caesars Photography group respectively. In the event spanning three days, informative workshops on game modeling and acting for animation were conducted by Mr. Vishnu Ram S, Modeling Lead from Xentrix Studios and Mr. Kulvinder Bakshish, a Theatre Artist, Director and Acting Trainer and other entertaining activities such as SPLASH, a pool party and Grand Gala Night were organized.

At the successful completion of the event, Mr. Ram Warrier, Business Head, MAAC said, “NSM 2013 was designed with an aim to proactively involve students in various programmes, projects and foster two-way interaction between the industry professionals and students on the latest developments in the world of animation. Events like NSM, help students ‘connect and celebrate’ with fellow friends, faculty and industry professionals.”
