NGO Cope with Cancer takes the #ShootITMovement to more women at CANTHON 2020



Mumbai, 8th March, 2020: Breast Cancer in India is the most common cancer in women in most states; Maharashtra alone recorded over 6,000 deaths last year. Experts say that many women present symptoms at stage 2B and beyond and thus survival rates are essentially minimum. It is imperative for one to understand and be aware about the risks associated, which is considered as the first step to beat cancer!
With an aim to equip women to self-examine themselves and prevent the onset of breast cancer prognosis, Cope with Cancer, a city-based NGO has initiated the #ShootITMovement. Their presence at CANTHON 2020, Mumbai’s Half Marathon takes the initiative, promoting easy breast self-examination, further. Spearheaded by Dr. Anand Parihar, Founder, Cope with Cancer, the interactive session at the event was crafted to help women understand how easy and simple this life-saving procedure is.
