Mumbai, 8th March, 2020: Breast Cancer in India is the
most common cancer in women in most states; Maharashtra alone recorded over
6,000 deaths last year. Experts say that many women present symptoms at stage
2B and beyond and thus survival rates are essentially minimum. It is imperative
for one to understand and be aware about the risks associated, which is
considered as the first step to beat cancer!
With an aim to equip women to
self-examine themselves and prevent the onset of breast cancer prognosis, Cope with Cancer, a city-based NGO has
initiated the #ShootITMovement.
Their presence at CANTHON 2020, Mumbai’s Half Marathon takes the initiative, promoting
easy breast self-examination, further. Spearheaded by Dr. Anand Parihar,
Founder, Cope with Cancer, the interactive session at the event was crafted
to help women understand
how easy and simple this life-saving procedure is.
