GTDC’s trekking expedition to Tambdi Surla Waterfalls this Sunday, 30th June 2019




Panjim,  June 25:  Another Sunday of    fun  and excitement,   and another edition  of trekking by Goa Tourism Development Corporation to Tambdi Surla Waterfalls on 30th June  2019.

 Tambdi Surla waterfalls is amongst the most famous waterfalls in the state located in the dense forest of the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary.

The expedition will also include a visit to the famous Shiva temple at Tamdi Surla which is carved out of a single rock.
The trail from the temple to the Tambdi Surla waterfalls is enriching and rejuvenating.  At the waterfalls,  enjoy  the cascade  which gushes from a height of 50 meters in a zigzag way and  looks really beautiful. There is a little pool created by the falls. If you want, you can take a dip in the chilly cold clear water.

While on your route, you will  find a few streams flowing down the hills. The fresh air,  pristine water, colourful birds and  butterflies  will definitely make you fall in love with the place. Initially, the path of trekking is quite wide but gradually narrows.

It is a  trek with a walking distance of 7 kms one way and  one  needs to be  physically fit  to undertake  this trek.
Delicious veg and non-veg lunch will be provided.

The charge per head is Rs. 800 which is inclusive of lunch, transport and guiding.

Transport will leave from Mapusa Residency and from Margao Residency at 7.15 a.m. Reporting  at Paryatan Bhavan, Panjim  is at sharp 7.45 a.m. Pick up facility also available from Old Goa, Banasthari,   Farmagudi and Ponda.

Interested trekkers are requested to carry along an extra pair of clothes, rainwear, trekking shoes, snacks and binoculars. Smoking and consumption of alcohol will not be permitted.
