New Delhi, April 25: EEMA, India’s apex association of the events and experiential marketing industry announced a major tie-up with Turkey’s largest MICE operator, INVENTUM GLOBAL to open the doors to Antalya for the hosting of Indian outbound events, weddings and corporate meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.

On the occasion, the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) announced the inaugural EEMA Global Leadership Retreat from May 28th till June 1st 2017 to be hosted in the picturesque environs of Antalya.
Welcoming the partnership with INVENTUM GLOBAL, EEMA’s President, Sabbas Joseph said, “EEMA and Inventum have begun working together for a while and following the success of previous initiatives, EEMA in partnership with INVENTUM GLOBAL is hosting the first Global Leadership Retreat of India’s fast-growing event industry with a view to building a long term partnership to promote Turkey with focus on Antalya, for India’s outbound events, weddings, corporate meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.

The EEMA GLOBAL LEADERSHIP RETREAT to be held in Antalya, from May 28th to June 1st, will focus on insights into the future of the experiential and events business, weddings, leadership skills development, rejuvenation and bonding and most important on familiarization with Antalya as a destination opportunity as it is introduced by INVENTUM GLOBAL to the Indian event industry.
The EEMA Retreat has been designed to provide multiple answers to oft asked questions by the industry’s leaders and a set of new opportunities across multiple geographies.

The program of the EEMA Global Leadership Retreat includes global and Indian speakers. The first set of the headline speakers has been announced:

  • Marshall Goldsmith, the business guru would speak about “What got you here, won’t get you there”, challenging leaders to rethink their strategies and teamwork
  • Graeme Codrington, the futurist from South Africa, will speak about the approach to Tomorrow today and how business leaders need to Mind the Gap that exists with the millennial generation.
  • Ashish Bhasin, Chairman & CEO-South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network will share the experience of collaboration and partnership built with Fountainhead Marketing.

Alongside the events industry’s Leadership Retreat, INVENTUM GLOBAL would organise a familiarisation (FAM) tour of the key hotels and venues of Antalya with a long term view to build a consistent stream of event, MICE and wedding projects in Antalya.
Previously FAM visits, weddings and conferences have been hosted in Antalya. A special panel on the Indian opportunity was also hosted at the World Tourism Forum’s Mediterranean Summit in Antalya in December last year which EEMA participated in; this was conceptualized and moderated by INVENTUM GLOBAL as well.
Bunyat Ozpak, Managing Partner of Inventum MICE said, “EEMA is our partner of choice and the business community and the people of Antalya are laying a red carpet for the Indian event industry to host memorable weddings and events in our country. We’ve already had some exciting experiences helping host weddings and corporate mice events. We are looking forward to a strong and deep partnership that is built on a mutually beneficial model. Hotels, event infrastructure providers, decorators, designers, venue operators and other facility organisers are looking forward to the visit of the Indian events community.”
The Turkish partners working together for the EEMA Global Leadership Retreat under the aegis of INVENTUM GLOBAL include Rixos Hotels and Turkish Airlines.

Keeping in mind the demand from the events industry, INVENTUM GLOBAL has increased the capacity of the Retreat. India’s event industry leaders would be joining the leading MICE companies from Russia and Ukraine, making it a truly global event.
