India’s Youngest Tech Geniuses Honoured with Awards



Mumbai students top winners’ list of India’s next Tech Geniuses 

Mumbai 20th February, 2016: At a glittering ceremony held at the NSCI, Worli, tech whizkids from all over India were felicitated for winning awards in a fiercely contested competition in the city today. The biggest Online Technology Competition of its kind, ‘WHIZ Juniors 2016’ was a pan-India contest organized by the Mumbai-based Clone Futura and knowledge partner lynda.com. The winners who received awards hailed from Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Goa.  

To applaud and encourage the winners and runners-up ranging from 2nd to 12th standard, eminent personalities were present including Mr. Mangal Prabhatji Lodha - Hon'ble MLA and his wife Manju Lodha; Ms. Perrin BagliRegional Secretory of Association of The ICSE school of Maharashtra region; Mr. Nitin Dahad Founder, TechSpark,London; Mr Kapil Hematsaria, CEO, Velvet Case & Head at Microsoft; Mr. Utpal Sheth, Director, Aptech Computers, CEO, Rare Enterprize; Mr. Kavindra Mishra, MD & CEO, Pepe Jeans India, Founder of Zovi.com; Mr. Amit Dasgupta, Head of campus of SP Jain School of Global Management; Lt.Col.A.Shekhar, Former officer with the Army Educational corps; Mr. Aakash Jethwani, Co-Founder, FINDURclass.com and principals of prestigious schools.

The tech competition was held in five levels according to the school grades (2nd to 12th standard). More than 38,600 students and 858 schools across India participated. The rigorous process of checking and elimination by the experts over several rounds ensured that only the best among the lot came out as the winners.
