October 16th, 2015: Amdavad is gearing up for its 2nd edition of India’s biggest women’s run the SBI Pinkathon -Empowering Indian Women powered by Women Horlicks onOctober 25, 2015. It was a beautiful Pink moment this morning when Milind Soman & the head of TGB gifted a beautiful Pinkathon a beautiful cake of 222kg to the slum dwellers of Ramjibhai Ni Chali. This cake was especially made by the TGB staff which was eggless and made with jaggery. It definitely brought joy to the attendees! The event ended on a high note with a run & speech by Milind on the need for fitness & better health in women of all strata’s!
The objective of Pinkathon also aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and bone health and other issues that put Women’s lives at risk. Pinkathon in Amdavad has received huge response from corporate sponsors like State Bank of India, Women’s Horlicks, OYO Rooms, Bajaj Electricals, RED FM & NGOs like Sense India, are also supporting the event. SBI Pinkathon - Empowering Indian Women powered by Women’s Horlicks India’s biggest women’s run will be held in Amdavad on October 25, 2015 at River Open Ground behind National Institute of Design, Amdavad. Over 8000 women from the city are expected to paint the town pink on this special day.
