Kohinoor Hospital launches ‘Cardiac Support Program’
especially dedicated for patients post-surgery
Mumbai, February 14th 2015: On Valentine’s Day Kohinoor Hospital marked
the celebration with the launch of a ‘Cardiac Support Program’ for its
patients. The main objective of the program is to educate patients and their
relatives on how to handle post-surgery care. The program will involve interactive
sessions with the cardiologist, physician, nutritionist, physiotherapist,
psychologist and counsellors, cardiac health check-ups for patients to avoid
complications after surgery. The session will be held on the 3rd
week of every month.
Around 15
cardiac patients along with their families and relatives gathered for the
celebration at the hospital. Elderly
patients were gifted with heart shaped goodies, greeting cards from the
hospital making it an eventful occasion for them. Interventional Cardiologists Dr.
Abhishek Wadkar and Dr. Deepak Shinde from the hospital hosted the occasion.
Patients had an educative- interactive session on ‘How to maintain a healthy
heart’ with the doctors, dieticians and counsellors. Games were organised for
patients and their spouse along with their relatives. As a token of promise a greeting
card was given to the patients with the message ‘Caring for your heart is our Passion
and Keeping it always healthy is our Mission’.
Speaking about the hospital’s initiative on the occasion, Dr.
Rajeev Boudhankar, Vice-President, Kohinoor Hospital, said, “Valentine’s Day is all
about caring and love. Kohinoor hospital has therefore decided to celebrate
this year’s Valentine’s Day in a unique way with focus on faster recovery of
cardiac patients without additional complications through this support program.
At Kohinoor hospital patients who have been successfully treated for heart
ailments will be felicitated. However the patients will be with their partners
or spouse to celebrate this day together. “Heart to Heart” is the key to “Good
Heart health”!!
