Mumbai, January 22, 2015……. GTTES-2015 – India's 'leading textile engineering expo’ opened its door to the Indian and International manufacturers. The exhibition saw visitors gathering to hear how technical textiles are a propellant for India’s growth story and how the demand is growing at a robust pace.
The Day 3 began with the visit of Mr Sanjay Porwal, Additional Chief Secretary ( Textile ) Govt of Maharashtra, who visited each exhibitor. He encouraged and thanked them in participating in this mega event for textile manufacturers
Mr Porwal said, “I am happy to see that GTTES 2015 visitors representing all segments of the manufacturing chain from India & China have converged here”.
Mr G V Aras, Director, Textile Engineering Group quoted, “ GTTES 2015 was a wise move by the organizers for focusing more on weaving & processing machines which automatically targets & boost the small & medium scale textile manufacturers in India. A.T.E. has gained several unexpected business proposals from Tier II & Tier III cities manufacturers and we are happy to be here at the right time and right place.”
Mr Fritz Legler, VP - Marketing / Sales & Services, Staubli also expressed his views that, “ though the economic slowdown has affected India’s textile industry, we are surprised to see very encouraging footfalls at GTTES & the participation of Chinese exhibitors”.
Mr. Rajnikant Bachkaniwala, Ex-Chairman, ITME added, “The long-term outlook is very positive as GDP is growing, especially in countries like India and China, and GDP per capita is increasing. There are also new applications for textiles which will drive demand for textile machinery”.

GTTES 2015 exhibitors’ footfall hits a new rise
Mumbai, January 22, 2015: GTTES-2015 – India's 'leading textile engineering expo’, that opened its door to the Indian and International audience yesterday, has seen the exhibitor’s footfall on a rise on Day 2.
The second day began with a seminar on the Textile Industry Development of Ethiopia conducted by Mr Seleshi Lemma, Director General, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
Various textile manufacturers attended this networking seminar which was a readymade platform to interact with the Ethiopian delegates.
During the seminar Mr Lemma shared business & textile trade opportunities with Indian Textile manufacturers.
Mr Lemma said, “Ethiopia is the second largest population in Africa with 8.5 million people & forth largest growing economy with a GDP with PPP of 86.1 billion USD. There is an immense growth opportunity for Indian textile industry in Ethiopia.”
“After the diversification into the new manufacturing commodities, the average annual export growth of 27.4% over the last 7 consecutive years expected to reach close to 4 billion USD by the end of 2014-2015 fiscal year” added Mr Lemma.
GTTES 2015 welcomed Sri Ramdas Kadam, Cabinet Minister of Environment. Mr Kadam personally visited each exhibitor and appalled their participation. He also encouraged and assured to boost the textile sector and its various requirements wherever applicable. Mr Updeep Singh, MD, ITEMA India quoted, “ GTTES is an excellent platform for textile manufacturers across India, as Indian textile industry is poised to grow to USD 350 billion by 2025”. He also added, “ Indian textile manufacturers have to take the advantage of the Chinese economy slowdown & double their growth in textile sector.”

Extensive marketing has now opened up African market and machines were purchased by buyers from African countries.
