Dombivili will soon have sports academy, botanical garden

MUMBAI: The suburb of Dombivili will soon have its own Sports Academy and a botanical garden as Runwal Group plans to incorporate the academy and botanical garden within its 156 acre township near Betawade Gaon in Dombivili. The project which was earlier christened 'MyDesire' will now be called 'MyCity' after Runwal Group decided to incorporate popular demands made by more than 10,000 potential home buyers.

In the first phase nearly 3000 potential buyers had suggested schools and hospitals, over a golf course. The Sports Academy will have state-of-the-art facilities including a 400-metre athletic track and multi-purpose turf which can be used for a variety of sports.

The Botanical Garden will have cacti and succulent plants, a range of exotic plants and a herb garden - features that neither Mumbai nor any neighbouring suburb in the district of Thane or Navi Mumbai has planned or conceptualised as yet.

The 156 acre 'MyCity' project has been planned, conceived and executed on the basis of the survey Runwal Group conducted to know the nature of residential property potential buyers wanted to support their day-to-day life. The survey facilitated Runwal Group to cater to the popular demands of potential buyers.

Mr Vvikas Aroraa, Director, Marketing & Sales said, “When you plan a city, you need to take into account, the necessities and needs of those who plan to stay in the city - the reason we changed the project's name from 'MyDesire' to 'MyCity'. And we at Runwal Group believe that it is a pre-requisite to cater to the legitimate demands of those who reside in our residential endeavours.” 

The survey also comes as an eye-opener for the real estate sector in the city which concentrates more on selling luxurious features than cater to the needs of a potential buyer. “Those who invest in a property are highly intelligent, and know their priorities. We decided to make additions, subtractions, and sometimes alter from our original plan, because we believe in the worth to satisfy those who buy property in  residential complexes built by Runwal Group,” said Aroraa.

The project consists of school, retail commercial buildings, R-Mall, garden, jogging track, parks for children and senior citizens, swimming pools and IT park. The project will have 1 to 3 BHK flats in residential segment.
