Will Converge in New Orleans-
Mumbai, Feb. 12, 2014 – NBA All-Star 2014 will have unprecedented
global coverage, reaching fans live in 215 countries and territories in 47
languages on their televisions, computers, mobile devices, and tablets.
More than 265 international media members
from 42 countries will converge in New Orleans. Nearly 90 international
television and radio outlets and websites will be onsite with 16 partners performing
live courtside commentary in languages such as Arabic, Danish, French, Greek,
Hungarian, Japanese, Mandarin, Polish, and Tagalog.
NBA LEAGUE PASS
International subscribers in more than 200 countries and territories will have access
to all All-Star events on computers, tablets, and mobile devices. NBA TV
International will reach fans in 97 countries and territories with
unprecedented behind-the-scenes coverage of practices, player interviews,
studio shows, and press conferences.
All-Star 2014 will have extensive global reach through digital and social
media. The league has more than 500 million likes and followers on social
media, 16 international NBA.com
sites and 17 international Facebook pages.
Through the NBA Game Time app,
fans will have access to comprehensive free content such as videos, highlights,
stats and scores.
Fans globally will
be able to interact and cast votes to help determine the Most Valuable Player of
the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge and the All-Star Game, as well as the “Dunker
of the Night” in the Sprite Slam Dunk.
Nine NBA international players
will participate in All-Star events: Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki (Germany), San Antonio’s Tony Parker (France),
Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving (Australia), Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece), Toronto’s Jonas Valanciunas (Lithuania), Oklahoma City’s Steven Adams (New
Zealand), Boston’s Kelly Olynyk (Canada), Phoenix’s Goran
Dragic (Slovenia) and San Antonio’s Marco Belinelli (Italy).
Below are several highlights in key markets:
ASIA:
More than 110 media members from Asia will be onsite.

China:
All-Star will be
televised live nationally on CCTV5, regionally through a network of partners,
and streamed live or on demand on Sina, Tencent and NBA.com/China. For the
first time, Sina will provide 24-hour weekend-long, original All-Star
programming starting Friday and Tencent will provide onsite commentary and
interact live with their virtual studio in China.
· India:
Sony SIX will send a
correspondent to New Orleans to provide fans in India with an all-access look
from All-Star. NBA.com/India will also provide comprehensive coverage.
· Japan: WOWOW will have Japanese celebrities join
their pregame studio show in Tokyo including professional basketball players
Taishi Ito and Kei Igarashi, Japanese musician Bose and comedian Hiroshi
Tamura.
EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA: More
than 20 partners across the region will televise All-Star.
· United
Kingdom: BT Sport will broadcast
all All-Star events live for the first time.

Africa: For the first time, SuperSport will have a crew onsite and
broadcast All-Star live throughout Africa.
Supersport, which operates NBA.com/Africa, will also have comprehensive
online coverage.
· Spain:
Canal+, partner since 1996, will be
onsite providing coverage for fans in Spain.
· Hungary:
For the first time, Sport 1 will be
onsite doing live commentary in Hungarian.

Middle East: beIN Sports (MENA) will be onsite providing live commentary for
all events in Arabic for fans throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
LATIN AMERICA: More than 50 media members from Latin America
will be onsite.
· Brazil: For the first time, Space will be onsite gathering footage and
conducting interviews to give fans an all-access look into All-Star to enhance
their coverage of the live events. Former Brazilian basketball player
Magic Paula will conduct interviews for Space’s Brazilian network.
· Argentina: DeporTV, a first-time NBA partner, will be airing All-Star live on
their free-to-air channel across all of Argentina.
