Maharashtra Kalanidhi is planning to build a film city in Kokan

Kokan is known for its pristine beaches and scenic beauty but don’t get surprised if you get to hear filmy terms like ‘Light … sound … camera & action’ on the picturesque landscape of Kokan because very soon a film city will be build in Kokan which will have state of art technology and equipments. The film city is conceptualized by Maharashtra Kalanidhi’s Hon. Nitesh Rane. The designs and the plans for the film city will be revealed soon. The first phase of film city will start in the 10 acres of beautiful area in Malvan.

The compass of Marathi entertainment world is increasing day by day. Innnumerable films, television soaps and entertainment programs are consistence being made and the need for film locations and modern equipments is also increasing. Considering that the ambitious project is being built at Malvan. The film city will comprise of a wide variety of film locales, indoor studios, equipments related to camera, light, sound as well as studios which will have latest post-production facilities, residences for cast & crew, dining arrangements etc.

Well known Bollywood Art Director and architect Jayant Deshmukh will be designing the Film city. The filmmakers who normally have to take lot of efforts to find a good location will now find a better option to shoot their films. Off course Marathi films and Television Soaps will get precedence & also get a discount in the rates for hiring the facilities in the film city.  Actor Sushant Shelar and the entire team of Maharashtra Kalanidhi are working on the project.

Mr. Nitesh Rane of Maharashtra Kalanidhi is personally looking after the project and it is his aim to make the Kokan film city well equipped with state of art technology.
