Splash On The Final Day at India Resortwear Fashion Week 2013
Mumbai, 14th December 2013: Premium
resort wear brand, Turquoise & Gold showcased their Spring/Summer ’14
collection on 14th December, 2013 for the very first time at India
Resortwear Fashion Week 2013. Their front row saw an eclectic mix of prolific
personalities from the fashion and film fraternities including the likes of Pia and Binal Trivedi, Suman Ranganathan, Asif Azim, Arunoday Singh amongst others. Suman Ranganathan and Binal Trivedi were spotted in Turquoise & Gold’s designs.
The collection that has been designed in collaboration with UK based designer Sara Burn included silhouettes that are
modern and striking. Crop summer tops were paired with flowy maxi skirts.
Previously featured kaftans were designed to facilitate the effortless switch
from poolside to party. Beautiful short dresses and Grecian maxis in silk
and satin were inspired by the imagined sunset and came in styles that are sensuous
and enthralling. An element of fun and
frivolity was incorporated with flamingo prints included in the stunning
swimwear line which featured a range of uber glamorous bikinis, monokinis, silk
capes and tassled throws with a hint of bling.
Contradicting last season’s acid brights, the
softer palette was classic and sophisticated - offset with beautiful hand-crafted
jewellery, the overall mood was contemporary and refined. The jewellery line
consisted of mute, silver and gold tones and included a range of earrings,
neckpieces and cuffs for the modern age woman.
On the occasion, Dimple Varma, Managing
Director & Creative Head, Turquoise & Gold says, “I am very excited
with the response that we have received from everyone who attended our show. The
pieces looked amazing on the ramp and we are very content with how the
collection has turned out. I am certain that each piece will soon find its way
to every woman’s holiday wardrobe.”
