" ONLY YOUR GOOD DEEDS WILL STAY FOREVER" , SAYS JUHI CHAWLA
Emotions ran high at Tejpal Hall as Juhi Chawla addressed the packed gathering at the birth centenary celebrations of the of late Sarlaben Sheth, founder of the A.K. Munshi Yojana Trust.
She narrated a short story that sent a strong message that on the final
day of judgement, it is only your deeds that will really count and
nothing else in this material world really matters.
The A.K. Munshi Yojana Trust was
founded way back in 1960 and does exemplary work for special children
from deprived sections of society, who are mentally challenged, by
providing them education, health care and various other facilities for a
more holistic upbringing. On this chosen day the children danced to the
tune of " Ghoonghat ke Aad Main " and " Radha Teri Chunri" as a
special tribute to Juhi Chawla. Viveck Shettyy, Managing Director of Indus Communications anchored the show with great flamboyance and had the audience spellbound with his extremely sharp and pertinent observations.
Mrs. Bharati Ganjawalla of the A.K. Munshi Yojana Trust dwelled at length on the life and times of Sarlaben Sheth, the founder of the A.K. Munshi Yojana Trust. Ketan Kumar and Orchestra performed a medley of Juhi songs besides other popular Bollywood numbers . Viveck Shetty also joined the singers in singing " Jadoo Teri Nazar" as Juhi Chawla
broke into a jig on stage, much to the delight of the audience. The
national tri colour was unfurled as the kids danced to " Phir Bhi Dil
Hai Hindustani" and the audience joined the chorus and the salute to the
tri colour.
Viveck Shetty and Dipti Shah (the choregrapher) were felicitated by Juhi Chawla for their efforts. Juhi Chawla and social activist Atul Shah gave away the prizes to the winners and the song and dance continued in true festive spirit.
