MAAC conducted a webinar on ‘Digital Set Extensions in films’
Mumbai, June 11, 2013: Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), one of the leaders in 3D Animation and Visual Effects (VFX) training recently organized a webinar on the topic, ‘Digital Set Extensions in Films’ for its students across 26 centres in the west zone.
The webinar was conducted by Mr. Shailendra Swarnkar, VFX Supervisor at Prime Focus. Over 750 students attended the seminar and gained insights how digital set extensions are achieved while producing a film. Various processes and techniques involved in set extensions such as matching simple and complex lighting in the plate photography, dealing with difficult lighting changes, matching the camera angle of the plate with 3D software and adding camera movement in a compositing environment, etc were explained and demonstrated for better understanding of the students in the three hour long session.
