Mumbai, April 26, 2012: ‘Paint Happiness,’ a collaborative initiative by Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) – leader in 3D Animation & VFX training and its students’ community fulfilled its purpose by painting walls at 7 orphanages across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. The orphanages covered were Janani Ashish at Dombivali, Vatsalya foundation for homless children at Kanjurmarg, Balanand at Chembur, Ashray balgruha at Bandra west, Thomas Shelter at Kandivali west, Girija trust at Kharghar and St. Catharine at Andheri west. The three day long social activity concluded yesterday and was a hit amongst MAAC students and the orphan kids.

MAAC students were at their creative best and painted overwhelming pictures on the walls of the orphanages. The activity was fun-filled and interactive as the kids also participated and contributed their ideas. It did spread happiness around and created a very positive atmosphere, inculcating social values among students to initiate small steps towards their first socially responsible activity at this young age. Other fun activities such as indoor games, screening of cartoon films, learning basic drawing skills and painting were organized for the kids.

Ms. Bhavika Chouhan, Sr. VP – Marketing said, “We are thrilled that ‘Paint Happiness’ has achieved what it intended to. It gives a good feeling of contentment by contributing to the society in a certain way. Our students are extremely happy of having participated in this activity and are already looking forward to more such initiatives.”

Mr. Ram Warrier, Business Head, MAAC commented,”All kids are special and deserve to be treated in a special way. We are amazed by the enthusiasm of our students who tried their best to add color to the lives of not so privileged kids at the orphanages through this social activity. We will continue to support more of these activities in future and thrive towards a better society.”
