India business council has organised an exclusive 

session to create an environment



 on how trade would become about 500 billion target. This conference was organised in order to discuss various issues, how US – Indo interaction can be taken to next level. Addressing the conference Chairman of USIBC, Ajay Banga drew attention to the opening up of the Indian economy. He also viewed that the bilateral trade between India and US should focus on energy, defence, education and medical care. He also added that the Indian Government’s decision to open up multi brand retail to FDI of up to 51 percent and the lifting of FDI caps in single brand from 51 percent to 100 percent is a welcome step and an assurance to the investors. Adi Godrej, President, CII said that there is recognition of the role ,India can play in the years to come; increasing involvement of industry members highlights the fact that our business communities can reach higher heights through strategic co-operation and collaboration. Addressing the conference, Ron Somers, President, U.S.-India Business Council, said that suggested that free movement of technology professionals should be enabled so that the jobs situation turns win-win for both the countries.
