Corsair Aggressively Focuses on the PC Components Business; Targets Gaming Industry

Corsair plans to acquire PC component companies to further strengthen its gaming lineup


, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced its aggressive move into the PC components business. Corsair will target more opportunities in the emerging gaming industry with its world class gaming products. This conscious decision was taken after consulting with a few big players within the gaming and blogger industry. 

In the past few years, Corsair has witnessed a phenomenal growth in the gaming components industry. There are more than 5.2 million online gamers and 6.9 million offline gamers currently in India. Almost 32% of the annual growth has been witnessed with the increasing population of gamers YoY. With the increasing interest of enthusiasts and overclockers in gaming, the demand for high-end quality PC components which will support the growing requirements of high-end gaming has increased. Corsair's range of PC components addresses the issues from beginners to veteran overclockers.  Apart from wide range of world class Corsair memory, Corsair will aggressively push to increase its share of business in the other PC components businesses like PSUs, cases, water coolers, gaming mouse and keyboards, SSDs and audio devices. Corsair may further acquire companies in order to strengthen its hold in the PC components business, especially within the gaming segment.

Corsair SSDs and gaming mouse & keyboards have already seen growing demand in 2012 and expected to grow further in 2013. In regards to promote the PC components, Corsair has planned to have road shows in different parts of India and educate the partners on the quality rich products of Corsair in different segments.
