SELSI celebrates SELSI-WZCON 2020 with Nanavati super-specialty Hospital

22nd Feb 2020, Mumbai: SELSI -Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India In association with Global Hospital & Research  Center, Nanavati super-specialty Hospital organized a 2 days live workshop and scientific program as west zonal conference called SELSI-WZCON 2020.

Many prominent dignitaries like Honorable chief Guest Prof MC Mishra, Guest of honor Dr Madhu Chopda , Dr Mehta, divine sister BK Yogini Didi, Founder President Prof SD Maurya, SELSI President Prof Virendar Bansal, secretary Dr Amit Srivastava, chairmen Dr JB Agarwal ,and co-organizing secretary Dr Manmohan Kamat graced the event by their presence.

This year the theme of the event was from basic to advance. They panelist and the subject matter experts attending the conference covered majority of laparoscopic procedures in scientific program they tried to cover sequels/complications of basic procedures along with advance laparoscopy through master videos, panel discussions and debates.

Dr.Madhu Chopda, who is a successful business woman, film producer and a physician and who has served Indian Army for years and a successful mother, shared her valuable experiences and gave guidance to the surgeons attending the conference.

The whole idea of holing this conference was initiated in south zone 2019 at Coimbatore. Ever since then Dr. JB Agrawal – organizing chairman remained instrumental and active towards coordinating and optimizing team effort.

Mumbai surgical society, supporting staff and doctors of Nanavati hospital and research center, residents of the Nanavati super specialty hospital provided whole hearted support for the conference. Dr. Prasad Ayere and all his crew members arranged the camp for the 2 days long conference.

The founder convener Prof Mishra and founder president Prof Maurya were thanked for their vision, guidance and leadership because of whom the journey which stared with 20 members has currently been joined by 3500 members at present.

In this conference more than 300 surgeons of Maharashtra and Gujarat participated and almost 70 Surgeons of national repute were live telecasted the Laparoscopic surgical procedures and giving didactic lectures on different topic which benefited the young surgeons.
