सावरकरांच्या वैचारिक लढ्याची गाथा रुपेरी पडद्यावर

भारतीय स्वातंत्र्यलढ्यातील एक तेजस्वी पर्व म्हणजे स्वातंत्र्यवीर विनायक दामोदर सावरकर.

क्रांतिकारक, समाजसुधारक, हिंदूसंघटक, ज्वलंत साहित्यिक-महाकवी, भाषाप्रभू अशा अनेकविध पैलूंनी भारतीय समाजमन ढवळून काढणाऱ्या या दूरदर्शी नेतृत्वाचे विचार हे आजच्या काळाशी सुद्धा तितकेच साधर्म्य सांगणारे आहेत. त्यांच्या जाज्वल्य विचारांची आणि वैचारिक लढ्याची गाथा लवकरच रुपेरी पडद्यावर साकारली जाणार आहे. रिटेक अनलिमिटेड फिल्म प्रॉडक्शन आणि औरस अवतार एंटरटेनमेंट प्रस्तुत रोहित शेट्टी, अतुल परब निर्मित आणि रुपेश कटारे, नितीन गावडे दिग्दर्शित 'व्हॉट अबाऊट सावरकर?' येत्या १७ एप्रिलला राज्यभरातील चित्रपटगृहात प्रदर्शित होणार आहे.

'सावरकरांचे देशप्रेम, त्यांचे विचार भावी पिढीला समजायला हवेत. त्यांचे विचार आजच्या तरुणांनी मनात रुजवायला हवेत', सध्याच्या तरुणाईच्या चंगळवादी वृत्तीमुळे ती भरकटत जात आहे, या पार्श्वभूमीवर सावरकरांचा हा चित्रपट आजच्या तरुणांना नक्कीच प्रेरणादायी ठरू शकेल. गगन बाया, नीती सिंग आणि शीतल शेट्टी यांचे निर्मिती सहाय्य लाभलेल्या 'व्हॉट अबाऊट सावरकर?' मध्ये सावरकरांच्या विचाराने प्रेरित झालेल्या एका ध्येयवेडया तरुणाची कथा रेखाटण्यात आली आहे. शरद पोंक्षे, अविनाश नारकर, विवेक लागू, अतुल तोडणकर, श्रीकांत भिडे, सारा श्रवण आदींच्या प्रमुख भूमिका आहेत.

अभिषेक शिंदे आणि अवधूत गुप्तेंच्या संगीताने सजलेल्या 'व्हॉट अबाऊट सावरकर?' चित्रपटात ५ गीते असून ती अवधूत गुप्ते, स्वप्निल बांदोडकर, वैशाली सामंत, ऋषिकेश रानडे आणि आनंदी जोशी यांच्या आवाजात स्वरबद्ध करण्यात आली आहेत. 'जयोस्तुते', 'जयदेव', 'वन्दे मातरम', 'कोकणची चेडवा', 'परछाई हू तेरी' अशा विविध धाटणींच्या गीतांचा प्रेक्षकांना आस्वाद घेता येणार आहे. या चित्रपटाच्या निमित्ताने अमृतसर येथील सुवर्णमंदिराचे दर्शनही आपल्याला होणार आहे. चित्रपटाचे देखणे छायांकन ए.के.एन. सॅबेस्टीयन यांचे आहे. संकलक आर. घाडी तर कला दिग्दर्शन अश्विन वंजारे यांचे आहे. अंकुश अरोरा व निलेश मालप सहनिर्माते, कार्यकारी निर्माते नागेश पुजारी, निर्मिती व्यवस्था संदीप मोरे, श्रीकांत अहिरे यांचे नृत्यदिग्दर्शन, साहसदृश्ये किंदर सिंग, रंगभूषा किरण सावंत आणि वेशभूषा रीना मदाने ही इतर श्रेयनामावली आहे. येत्या १७ एप्रिलला 'व्हॉट अबाऊट सावरकर?' सर्वत्र प्रदर्शित होणार आहे.

The Glorious Saga of Savarkar's Ideologies on the Silver Screen

Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar penned a bright new chapter in the struggle of India's independence.

The multi-faceted Savarkar was a path-breaking social reformer, fiery poet-laureate, talented linguist, powerful orator and a firebrand freedom fighter.
The ideologies of this revolutionary leader, of great foresight, are applicable even in today's day and age and Marathi cinegoers can now witness the philosophies that he propagated and  know more about his audacious struggle against the Britishers, on the silver screen courtesy, Retake Unlimited and Aurous Avatar Entertainment.

Presented by Rohit Shetty and produced by Atul Parab, the film has been directed by Rupesh Katare and Nitin Gawde, What About Savarkar is slated to release on 17th April. Through this film, the makers aim at igniting a spark of patriotism in the hearts of the audiences and they also want to make the youth of the nation aware about Savarkar's ideologies and his struggles.

Produced by active cooporation of Gagan Baya, Neeti Singh and Sheetal Shetty and nilesh malap the film revolves around a young man Abhiman Marathe, who stands against a corrupt politician, who insults Savarkar. What About Savarkar stars Sharad Ponkshe, Avinash Narkar, Vivek Lagu, Atul Todankar, prasad oak ,Shreekant Bhide and Sara Shravan in the lead roles.

The film's music has been composed by Abhishek Shinde and Avadhut Gupte, and the album comprises five melodious songs- ‘Jayostute', ‘Jayadev', ‘Vande Mataram', ‘Kokanchi Chedwa' and ‘Parchai Hun Teri'. Popular singers like Avadhut Gupte, Swapnil Bandodkar, Vaishali Samant, Rushikesh Ranade and Anandi Joshi have crooned the soulful numbers.

The film has been shot at various locations across India and the makers have been able to capture the scenic beauty of New Delhi, Punjab, Konkan and Manipur successfully.

The film has been co-produced by Ankush Arora.While A.K.N. Sabastian took charge of the cinematography, R. Ghadi edited the movie and Ashwin Vanjare looked after the art direction.
