Winner Of 2014s Coolest App In Europe Launches in India With A Fabulous Fashion

After mastering British and American markets, the world's coolest social
fashion application, Shopcade, finally launched in the Indian subcontinent with
a bang. The India launch party hosted by Co-Founder/Creative
Director from UK, Hoon Kim, India Country Manager, Kriti Tula and Little Shilpa, took place on Thursday
night at The White Owl in Mumbai.
The fashion fraternity poured in to lend their support to this
unique platform. A host of models, bloggers, editors, fashion directors,
stylists were seen enjoying themselves and dancing to the tunes of DJ Spacejams from Bhavishyavani. The
party boasted of some fun and quirky elements like a live cotton candy machine, branded marshmallows specially flown in
from the UK and a photo booth and selfie corner!
Some
of the guests included models Acquin Pais, Maria & Angad Bedi,
Sisters Pia and Binal Trivedi, Designer Nikhil Thampi and Actor Prateik
Babbar amongst others.
Shopcade
is a social shopping application commonly known as the ‘instagram for fashion
shopping’. A dual platform offering, the web and mobile-based app offers a
daily fashion fix of top trends and deals to 16 – 25 year-old fashion conscious
users globally. It allows users to stay
updated with trends, celebrity looks and deals all in one place, powered by magazines,
celebrities, bloggers, and its users. Based on their interests and location,
Shopcade users benefit from personalized deal alerts. Shopcade also offers a
click-through purchasing functionality and its own e-commerce platform.
Shopcade has launched its iOS and
Android mobile apps, as well as its web-based platform, shopcade.com across
India. The initial Shopcade team consists of one India-based editor and three
correspondents who will create daily content for its Indian audience. A number
of Indian brands and India-based bloggers are already actively engaged with the
app.
