Foxconn to Set up Servers for Cloud Computing with Joint Venture of HP

Foxconn,
world's leading manufacturer of computer components and systems is
establishing joint venture with Hewlett-Packard (HP) exclusively to
manufacture servers for cloud computing and offering related supporting
services.The partnership came into effect on May 1, 2014.
Terry Guo, President at Foxconn said,"Development
of cloud computing has thoroughly changed the global server supply
chain, for suppliers should be able to provide total solutions with
design capability to respond to client's demand and ability for global
production, shipment and complete after-sale services."
Meg Whitman, CEO at HP said, "The
partnership reflects innovation in HP's server business model through
combining Foxconn's R&D capability and manufacturing expertise, with
HP's market leadership in cloud computing products and related services
to enable both companies to offer cloud computing solutions which will
change existing market game-playing rules."
