-adidas Originals & Ranveer Singh celebrated Mumbai’s first Neighbourhood store of the iconic streetwear brand
Mumbai, April 29th, 2017: The pioneering sportswear brand for the streets, adidas Originals celebrated originality with its Brand Ambassador, Ranveer Singh, today at the brand’s newest and first ever neighbourhood store in Mumbai at High Street Phoenix, Lower Parel. The evening marked the official launch of the city’s new destination for sneaker-heads and streetwear hounds, and was celebrated in a truly iconic fashion.
An all original evening, which was kicked off with the launch of the all new YEEZY BOOST 350 V2. Close to 100 of the city’s sneaker-heads dropped in to get their hands on their new YEEZY BOOST. They were joined by more fans of the brand to celebrate the new store, with DJ KAN-I spinning the tunes to the get the crowd warmed up.
Taking the evening to a whole new level was the adidas Originals Brand Ambassador – Ranveer Singh, appearing out of nowhere on the roof of the store, backed by the perfect background track (a modern version of “My Way” by Frank Sinatra) and sporting a mask made of NMD sneakers. Ranveer set the “roof of fire”, jamming with DJ Kan-I and getting the crowd and the YEEZY BOOST customers together for what can be claimed as one of the biggest group selfies.
The evening was followed by an after party inside the new store and included adidas Originals loyalists and influencers from the music, fashion and entertainment industry. The new store spanning over 1200 square feet, houses some of the most iconic and sought after sneakers and sports inspired streetwear, including Superstar, Iniki Runner, NMD, EQT and more.
