Another feather in the cap for Wockhardt Foundation






Wins "Best CSR Project in Healthcare” at the IndiaCSR awards

Mumbai, April 8, 2015: Wockhardt Foundation, a not-for-profit organization engaged in social service and human welfare activities, has been awarded the “Best CSR Project in Healthcare” for its Mobile 1000 initiative at the Annual India CSR awards ceremony.

The IndiaCSR awards recognise and acknowledge the most unique and outstanding contributions in the field of corporate social responsibility.

Mobile1000 is an ISO 9001:2008 approved flagship programme of Wockhardt Foundation that provides free primary healthcare to villages of India through mobile medical vans. The program conceptualized and spearheaded by the foundation's CEO and Trustee, Dr. Huz (Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala), involves the operation of mobile medical vans that travel through remote rural regions in India and provide primary health care services to millions. It is operating 104 Mobile 1000 vans pan India in 15 states - Karnataka, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Odisha, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh. Total patients screened till date 13.6 million.
