ON THE EVE OF INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY, FIVE MORE COVID-19 POSITIVE PATIENTS TREATED & DISCHARGED FROM FORTIS HOSPITAL, MULUND



So far, 42 patients have been successfully discharged on completing their treatment at the hospital 

Mulund, Mumbai, 12th May, 2020: On eve of International Nurses Day, today, nursing staff at Fortis Hospital, Mulund witnessed a triumphant feat in the battle against COVID19 as five more patients were discharged after undergoing successful treatment at the hospital. The patients were discharged after undergoing treatment in the isolation wing of the hospital; tally of discharged patients now stands at 42.

Speaking about the patients who successfully beat COVID19, Dr. Rahul Pandit, Director-Intensive Care, Fortis Hospital, Mulund, said, “I am happy to announce that we have successfully treated and discharged a total of 42 patients at the hospital. Every successful case is a small victory in the herculean war against COVID-19. All the patients have responded well to the treatment and have now returned home. On the occasion, I would also like to congratulate the nursing teams and wish them a Happy Nurses Day! They have toiled relentlessly to efficiently manage patients and provide optimum care & treatment”.

Speaking about the discharge of these patients and the role of the nursing teams, Dr. S. Narayani, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital, Mulund, said, “While the focus currently is on combating the pandemic, caregivers are also working round the clock to tend to the medical needs of non-COVID patients. We are proud of all our caregivers that are involved in the treatment and care of patients. I would like to extend my gratitude to nurses across the globe for their selfless spirit and determination which continues keep the backbone of the healthcare ecosystem strong; I wish them a Happy Nurses Day”.
