TRIVENI- SHARE YOUR FIRST SAREE STORY



Mumbai, 13thApril, 2015: Triveni hosted a contest ‘#Triveni Share your first saree story’ on facebook for all the young ladies to share their stories and experiences about their very first sari draping on special occasions, family weddings and auspicious days. There was a huge response and reaction towards the contest. Triveni’s contest was to choose the best shared experience and picture and was rewarded.

The contest winners of the ‘#Triveni Share your first saree story’ were Ms.Chandra Shah andMs.Priyanka Singh; the best selected story and picture shared. The winning contestant’s experiences were, Chandra Shah, Singapore, “My first drape of Saree was when I was 20 years old – in Junagadh, Gujarat, India. I was thrilled. I felt suddenly grown up. I begin loving myself – looking so beautiful in Saree. What people said admiring: You look elegant in Saree. You look Nirupa Roy.”  Every individual has some different story to say and others explore and these moments are best cherished when remembered.

Priyanka Singh says, “Oh this memory of wearing saree first time leaves giggles in my tummy. This is when we were in 8th Grade. It was the last n final day of Dandiya celebrations in our locality. I remember that my entire friend circle had decided on the 1st day of Dandiya celebrations to wear saree on the final day of Dandiya.  And we were all excited to put our best foot forward. We all were busy selecting sarees from our mother’s wardrobe.”

The first saree moment is always a special to a girl, symbolizing of maturity, and adding cultural significance to the attire. A saree is ancient Indian apparel that is still in fashion and is trending. Every young girl observes her mother and even tries to imitate the saree draping. From the contest, the cherishing and the memorable moments of the young ladies are the priceless gems shared. Every girl has a story, and the memory of their first saree is treasured and valued. Triveni sarees is also connoted with these delighted and rejoiced moments and express joy to an individual’s story. Young ladies like to dress like a diva and look best. They idolize Bollywood personalities such as Deepika, and other prominent stars to look fashionable yet carry themselves elegantly.
