Ridhima leads challenge in USHA IGU Western India Ladies and Junior Girls Amateur Golf Championship 2014

Pune, December 3: The USHA IGU Western India Ladies and Junior Girls Amateur Golf Championship 2014 will begin at the lush green Poona Club Golf Course from tomorrowThursday 4th December 2014. There are 15 girls under the age of 13 years - Category C hailing from all over India and 26 players in Category A (under 18), Category B (under 15) and Ladies Category (above 18 years).

Delhi’s Ridhima Dilawari will lead the challenge in the Usha IGU Western India Ladies and Junior Girls Amateur Golf Championship 2014, which will begin tomorrow, 8 am onwards.

Ridhima, who finished runner-up in Category A of the Eastern India championship in Kolkata in November, will be top contender in the absence of Aditi Ashok, who had won both the Category A and Ladies events there. Ridhima will get a stiff challenge from Anisha Padukone of Bengaluru.

Diksha Dagar and Riya Ahuja, who finished champion and runner-up in Kolkata, will be the top contenders in Category B while Vasundhara Thiara of Chandigarh is the player to watch in Category C. The category, which is for girls under the age of 13 years, will see 15 golfers in action. As many as 26 other players will vie for top honours in Ladies (above 18 years), Category A (under-18) and Category B (under-15).
