ERA Foundation launches Uni-GAUGE – a pan-India assessment platform
for students seeking admissions to Universities
Mumbai, 10th November, 2014: ERA Foundation (Education, Rating and Assessment Foundation), today launched Uni-GAUGE, the assessment platform for graduates and under-graduate students seeking admissions to Universities.
ERA Foundation aspires to make Uni-GAUGE the preferred entrance testing platform for Indian universities and the student community. Uni-GAUGE separates ‘entrance evaluation’ and ‘admission’ processes. Uni-GAUGE offers computer-aided, pan-India entrance evaluation platform. The brand Uni-GAUGE stands for trust, transparency, credibility, reliability and respect.
The partner universities will take Uni-GAUGE scores, but will have complete autonomy on their admission process. In addition, they will derive several benefits, including:
- Improve their ability to access students across the country
- Have a reliable, efficient, technology enabled entrance test
- Segregate entrance evaluation and admission process
- Rationalize costs for marketing – for accessing and admitting students
- Free up management bandwidth and time to focus on core objectives
- Collaborate and network with other member universities and associations across India
- Participate in shaping and influencing regulation and policy for education in India
The first “Uni-GAUGE Post Graduate Medical and Dental 2015” will be held on 15th February, 2015. This would be a pan-India, on-line, computer aided, multi-university examination, conducted in more than 30 cities; those cater to students across the country.
ERA Foundation has partnered with TCS iON, India’s leading test administration organization for Uni-GAUGE.
Many universities have already partnered with ERA Foundation to take the Uni-GAUGE scores and these include universities from Bangalore, Vellore, Faridabad, Kolar, Mysore, etc. Many more are expected to join shortly.
In addition to Uni-GAUGE – the assessment platform, ERA Foundation will also focus on two supporting platforms viz. accreditation, including programmatic rating for medical and technical education and skill-building in the education sector. It also has plans to help the student community by providing financial assistance, counseling and professional consultancy.

The Foundation will focus on three distinct mutually fulfilling platforms viz. assessment, accreditation and skill-building.”
