Mumbai, 2^nd May, 14: Children, finally, have a reason to smile this vacation! Growel’s 101 Mall is all set to make this summer happening and fun-filled like never before. Summer Fiesta a fortnight long extravaganza, kick starting from May 5, 2014, is perfect getaway to the world of fantasies. Various attractions and workshops will entertain kids aged 2 to 14 while honing their hidden talents.  And not just this, the luckiest and most talented ones of the season wins a big surprise. Also, there are a lot of assured gifts to be won. Isn’t it what dreams are made of?

Attractions:

Theatre Town, set up at Growel’s 101 Mall, will turn your child into a star. Meant to groom the acting and emoting skills through theatre workshops, the activity will help kids will elocutions and express like a celebrity. Mime workshop, script readings will also be organised within the mall premises. A unique activity in itself, the Theatre Town encourages children to be confident, eloquent and develop public speaking skills. Folk and shadow puppetry will add the necessary fun element to it all.

Kingdom Stories counter is set-up especially for kids who love to hear stories and to narrate them as well. Activities like story telling sessions, creative story telling competitions will be organised in the mall.

Coast of Skills is for the action lovers. Thrilling game sessions like tyre mines, ball the bucket, ring toss, remote control car race and many more involve physical and mental activities simultaneously to make your child smarter.

Planet of Melodies is a concoction of symphonies and crooning. Welcome to the world of music with live karaoke singing and instrument playing workshops. Who says your bundle of joy can’t be the next music sensation?

Stage of Wonder is for the little stars who want to charm all with their dancing, singing and mimicry skills.

The fiesta continues till May 18, 2014 from 1 pm- 9 pm and has much more to offer. The Grand Finale will be marked by thrilling competitions like Fancy dress and Role play, Bol Bachan, Gaana Khazana, and Group Dance performance. A celebrity judge would pick the most talented performers and the shining stars of Summer Fiesta.

·         Fancy dress and Role play will have children dressed up as their favorite Bollywood actor/actress and enact them.

·         Bol Bachan is an exciting activity to polish orating skills and wits. The shortlisted participants will be shown a one minute clip from any movie and will later be asked to recite dialogues with the scenes muted.

·         Gaana Khazana is a performer’s delight. Here each participant will perform a song picturized on the actor/actress it has dressed up as for duration of two minutes.

·         Group Dance will have participants performing a special group dance of their chosen celebrity.

How to participate?

Summer Fun Book

Kids willing to participate will have to avail a Summer Fun Book from the registration counter at the mall by redeeming a certain number of G++ points. The Summer Fun Book records all the activities one participates in. The

Kids will get their books stamped for each activity participated along with points collected at the various levels of the event. The participant carries forward with each activity every day.

Milestones

To encourage multiple visits to the mall during the extravaganza and keep up the excitement, various milestones basis collected points will be defined for the participants to win assured prizes. Participation at every level will fetch the kid 20 points. Kids donating toys and books will get 50 points extra.

Leaders Board

A Leader’s board will display names and pictures of the kids with highest points in each zone. It will also display the leader’s basis on their total points collected across zones. This will motivate kids and parents to participate in the activities. The top 10 kids (on the basis of points collected) will be eligible to participate in the Grand Finale! Based on the performance of the kids, celebrity will judge and choose the final winners from the participants.
