Chandi Perera Walks the ramp for Kingfisher Hyderabad Fashion week

Chandi Perera' s appearance on the runway seems to have banished all thoughts of her predecessors. It probably has to do with donning a stunning Fabia  creation.Chandi was a sight to behold in a wine red velvet lehenga-gown.. Decked with matching jewelry and flawless makeup, Chandi had us riveted.This latest collection with a theme of East meeting West - The Regal Indian culture  as it draws inspiration of the vibrant Caribbean oceanic life..

Ask Chandi how she feels about the show?

“I felt regal. We are girls.. We love to dress up.. The word is royal.. Regal.. I have to say Thank you for this collection..thank you for making us girls feel this good about ourselves!”

How did you feel walking the ramp this time?

Nervous! No matter how many times I walk the ramp I I feel nervous just before I start walking... Every single time.

Why?

Once I had a wardrobe malfunction. One shoe strap of a high heel came off. It's really high, and the other one just wouldn’t come off. It was really awkward, and embarrassing; I had to  limp down the runway. I think of this every time I have to walk the ramp, and pray that everything would go smooth.

What's the buzz about dividing the Andhra Pradesh?

Well everyone appear to have a different viewpoint, from  some saying its more expensive to keep together. However, most appear to wish that the Telugu film industry stay as a single entity , for business reasons

Chandi is all excited about seeing some faces from the south Industry. Will you be seen in south films?

“Its too early to say anything. I've met some really beautiful people here in Hyderabad. I’ve been watching a whole lot of south movies, and finally, when I get to meet them, it was such an awe moment.!”

Do you like Hyderabad?

‘Definitely yes! It appears to be one of the cleanest Indian city I’ve been to. The loads are clean, and looks beautiful!, I must say that every time I”ve been here I was so lucky to meet really nice warm people.

Anyone in particular?

“I met Puri Sir!!” she gets excited meeting Puri Jagannath.”. I really love his work.. And  I Couldn't believe that he has so many pets.. including a monkey!!

So what's after Grand Masti?

“Well, this appears to be  a superstitious  question. Every Time, I thought I'll be doing a particular project, it somehow got delayed. So  the answer is that I don’t know   at   this  stage. And to be honest, unless something really goes on the floors I’m not ready to believe it myself”

What's keeping you busy?

“Relaxing!!!.. Ha.. Ha.!”  Well, I there's  promotional work I need to spend my time on. And also I love dancing. I’ve been quite busy getting ready for few shows I've taken up. However, this is the best part of my relaxation!
